Ph.D Agreement

The Faculty of Business Administration & Economics is pleased to announce that our Ph.D agreement with Concordia University has been signed by the President and the Provost of Concordia Dr. Claude Lajeuness and Dr. Martin Singer in addition to the Dean of John Molson School of Business in the mentioned university, Dr. Jerry Tomberlin. The agreement has also been signed by the president Father Walid Moussa, Dr. Ameen Rihani, AVPAA and Dr. Elie Yachoui (Dean FBAE).

The agreement covers the admission of an unlimited number of our Masters students to Ph.D programs at CU-JMSB. The effective implementation of the agreement will start next May given that Concordia University’s calendar is divided into 3 semesters that run from early September to end of December, early January to end of April, and early May to end of August with 1-2 weeks break between each semester.

The agreement is valid for 10 years renewable with continuation, modification or extension.
Under the conditions of acceptance, applicants must hold an MBA degree from NDU with concentrations in:

General MBA,
MBA – Economics
MBA - Finance
MBA – Project and Operations management
MBA – Management and Strategy
MBA – Marketing
MBA – Human Resources Management
MBA – Hospitality Management
MBA – MIB

This clearly confirms the quality and efficiency of our Masters curriculum after their reform in 2004.
Moreover, Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.3, a required GMAT score of 600, a good academic record and letters of recommendation.

The Ph.D courses to be taken will be determined depending on the applicants background and area of specialization (customized Ph.D courses).

The agreement also stipulates that applicants will be eligible for Financial Aid from CIDA (the Canadian International Development Agency).

This agreement awards all our efforts in exposing our Faculty to international partnerships and recognizes the quality of our work and accomplishments.
