Faculty of Engineering Student Team wins the 2008 alfa Telecom Award

A team of students from the Electrical, Computer and Communication Engineering Department at NDU has won the 2008 alfa Telecom Award for their project:

“Reduction of Sidelobes in Reflector Antennas Using Metallic Strips”

The team members are: Dolly Akiki (CCE), Wassim Beaineh (CCE) and Nabil Chamy (CCE)
The project supervisors were Dr. Ali Harmouch and Dr. Elias Nassar

The project was selected for this award from among four projects, submitted by universities, that reached the final selection stage. The final presentations in front of a jury selected by alfa took place on Friday July 25, 2008 at the alfa headquarters in Beirut.

The Award consists of a $3000 prize and a trophy.
