The Office of Student Affairs (SAO) at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), organized on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in the Projection Room, the “Founders' Day Talents Auditions.”
This year, NDU students will be the stars of the show! Founders’ Day is being refocused on emerging student talents to appeal to the NDU Community.
Singers, dancers, musicians, and comedians joined the auditions and performed on stage in the presence of the Dean of Students, Mrs. Joyce Menassa, Senior Officer at the Department of Students Activities Mr. Elias Boutros, and Assistant Dean of Students Melhem Rechdan.
A jury was present during the auditions and comprised of TV presenter and Branding Consultant Bruna Tohme, singer and filmmaker Ingrid Bawwab, Arabic Opera teacher, singer, and composer Conswelle el-Hajj (aka Sama). The jury members shared their expertise with the students by encouraging them to improve their performances, to focus on their body language, and to truly discover their unique artistic styles to ensure better exposure and engagement with the audience.
All three jury members agreed that NDU students have outstanding potentials, and in that regard, Assistant Dean of Students, Melhem Rechdan, expressed his gratitude by stating, “I thank the jury members for sharing their expertise with us and for guiding our students. We are very much looking forward to this year’s Founders’ Day which we would hope will be the first of many more occasions that allow us to showcase the hidden talents at NDU.”
A lot of preparations are underway for this year’s vintage themed Founders’ Day. Stay tuned to discover more on Friday May 12, 2017!
