On Sunday, June 26, 2016, the Community Service Office (CSO) - the Student Affairs Office (SAO) at NDU aimed at providing students with an opportunity to benefit their community by organizing a “Hike to Cure” where a group of 405 volunteers walked together for the Children’s Cancer Center in Lebanon.
The walk started from Saydet el Qarn – Laqlouq at 9:30 a.m., and ended in Akoura.
Beside the opportunity provided for participants to walk together and explore one of the most exciting hiking routes and wonderful villages in Lebanon, this hiking event was a good way to:
• Build a sense of community for college students
• Raise a considerable amount of money for the Children’s Cancer Center Lebanon.
• Promote a healthy active lifestyle
• Explore the amazing wonders in Lebanon
• Meet new people
• Environmental awareness
The Children’s Cancer Center Lebanon (CCCL) came in the first rank after students at NDU-Zouk Mosbeh and LAU-Jbeil were asked to answer verbally about the type of organization they would like to donate for.
