Notre Dame University Shouf Lebanon Campus (NDU-SC) organized on November 8, 2018, “Flag Day 2018” event to celebrate the Lebanese flag and Independence Day.
In an atmosphere full of enthusiasm, NDU-SC welcomed the Lebanese Army Music Band, who performed several songs of national and military music in the presence of General Jean Nassif.
For his part, General Nassif spoke about his journey and long life career full of responsibility, pain, and leadership at the Lebanese Army. He ended his speech with a word of appreciation to NDU-SC, headed by its Director, Fr. Naji Khalil, who was honoring him on that day.
In conclusion, Fr. Naji Khalil presented honorary shields as a symbol of appreciation and gratefulness to General Jean Nassif and to the Head of the Army Music Band. The General was also gifted with a cedar tree to be planted in the land where Saint Michael- Shrine is located. Then, a cake featuring the NDU logo and the Lebanese flag was cut for this remarkable occasion.
In their turn, the student cabinet offered the Lebanese soldiers, who enlivened the ceremony with their enchanting music, flowers to show their thankfulness. In addition, NDU-SC administration distributed key rings engraved with the NDU Logo and shaped in the form of the Lebanese map to the faculty members, staff, and students who attended the event.
