"Our common home is like a sister with whom we share our life and a beautiful mother who opens her arms to embrace us." (Pope Francis's Laudato Si)

The Benedict XVI Endowed Chair of Religious, Cultural and Philosophical Studies at the Faculty of Humanities (FH), Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), is hosting on November 2, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m., in Friends Hall, a conference on sustainable development. This conference aims to introduce an innovative environmental sustainability model that brings together international and national partnerships and initiatives in light of Laudato si', the second encyclical of Pope Francis.

NDU, an official member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), will gradually host a variety of initiatives developed and led by faculty, staff, and students to demonstrate innovative sustainability in action, preserve resources, and reduce its environmental impact to achieve the 17 SDGs by 2030. Many upcoming projects are ongoing and will be communicated soon across all University media platforms.
