French National, Angelique Muller was born in Clermont Ferrand, where she grew up watching short films at the well known international short film festival. Angelique moved to Malta in 2000 where she studied Communications and Film studies at the University of Malta. Her graduation short film Ward Sixty6 won the grand prize at the Tangier international film festival in 2006. She went on doing a Masters degree in screenwriting at Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 2011 she obtained a professional assistant director’s diploma from the CEFPF in Paris. She has, since then, been working for the French as well as the Maltese film industry. In 2015, she joined a handful of film enthusiasts to create the Film Grain Foundation, proud organizers of the Valletta Film Festival where she programs the short film as well as the documentary competition and the islander curation.
