Hoda Maalouf received the Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Ecole Superieure d’Ingenieurs de Beyrouth, Lebanon, in 1987, the M.Sc. degree in Communications and Signal Processing, in 1990, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, in 1998, both from Imperial College, London, UK. She worked as a research assistant at Imperial College between 1990 and 1995. She joined Notre Dame University in 1999 as an assistant professor and chaired the Department of Computer Science between Oct. 2001 and Mar. 2006 and from Oct 2010 till Present. In addition to her interest in scientific research, Dr. Maalouf was always been interested in mixing art and science, so she opened the undergraduate program in Computer Graphics and Animation (CGA) in Fall 2002 and contributed greatly to the success of this program.
