The course involves an extensive survey
on molecular structure and application
of new synthetic strategies in designing
organic material from both mechanistic and
synthetic viewpoints. Students learn how to
plan the synthesis of complex molecules,
the use of protecting groups, as well as
reduction, oxidation and alkylation reactions
in modern organic chemistry.
