Computational Methods in Thermal and Fluid Mechanics - MEN 550

Physical and mathematical foundations of computational fluid mechanics and heat transfer with emphasis on applications: governing equations and mathematical approximations; partial differential and integral equations, discretization and solution methods, stability and convergence. Introduction to physical modeling of turbulence, combustion, and radiation. Prerequisites: MEN 310, MAT 335, CSC 212.
