Out-Posting Empire - LIR 635
The works of Edward Said, Homi Bhabha,
and Gayatri Spivak, among others, study
postcolonial criticism of imperial culture. In
this course, we will trace the trajectory of
their works. Some of the themes covered
are: critique of textualism, engagement
with the work of Foucault, and intellectual
vocation.
