Inorganic Chemistry I - CHM 326

This course covers atomic structure, chemical bonding (MOT), molecular geometry (VSEPR model), solid state (metals, ionic, covalent molecules), crystal field theory, symmetry and point group, acid-base concepts, e.m.f. diagram and its uses, chemistry of selected main group and transition elements with emphasis on physical properties and their applications in industrial chemistry. Prerequisite: CHM 211.
