Health Care Financial Management - HCM 405

This course examines the tools and methods of financial management in health care organizations with emphasis on allocation and use of funds in managing the components of health care delivery systems. Analysis of cost drivers and constraints of alternative source of funds, and the application of financial decision instruments and their effect on operational management and market value of the entity, including valuation methodology and risk management, are covered. Modeling profitability analysis and planning for health care providers and payers is surveyed. Prerequisites: BAF 311, HCM 301, HCM 302.
