Principles of Financial Management I - BAF 311

An introduction to the role of the financial manager and to the techniques for obtaining and using funds to maximize the value of the firm. Topics covered include: discounted cash-flow analysis; valuation methods; risk and rates of return; financial analysis and forecasting; financial planning and control; working- capital policy; cash and marketable securities management. The passing grade for this course is “C”. Prerquisites: ACO 202, STA 206 or STA 210, MAT 325 or MAT 326.
