Society, Sexuality, and Education - SOL 415

This course is an exploration of the sociological study of sex, gender, and sexuality. The central themes of the course will be the social processes that influence our gender and sexual identities, and the connections between gender, sexuality, and inequality. Special attention is given to basic characteristics of adolescent sexuality vis-a-vis a wide diversity of sexual attitudes and behaviors in general, and vis-a- vis the Arab world in particular. Prerequisite: ENL 213.
