Society and Women - SOL 316

This course explores significant contributions achieved by women - in addition to those in the family - in education, politics, the workplace, and others fields. The course also focuses on the negative effects on women that may be caused by popular cultures, religion, sexuality, the economy, the family, health care, and government policies, among others. Special focus is placed, on race and ethnicity, religion and social class, and on different forms of gender inequality. Prerequisite: ENL 213.
