The NDU students and through the “Community Service Office” (CSO), has distributed all the supplies resulted from the campaign already held in the NDU main campus throughout the period that preceded and followed the holidays, in collaboration with “Offre Joie” organization. Clothes and basic needs were offered to 6 thousands prisoners in all prisons on the Lebanese territory.
The NDU’s students went to the women’s prison located in “Barbar el khazen” barracks in Verdun, which includes 80 females prisoners. Our students visited 10 cells, and they had the chance to interact directly with women who went through lots of problems in their lives, and expressed their solidarity with them and how their initiative comes within “Open Hearts Project” launched by NDU.
