Guidelines for Commencement Ceremony
  1. The Commencement Ceremony will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 7:30 p.m.
    Final academic clearance from the Registrar (Spring 2011 tentative graduates only)
    Date: Tuesday, June 28 – Wednesday, June 29, 2011 Time: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
    Place: Registrar’s Office  

    N.B: To participate in the commencement ceremony, all Summer and Fall graduates of 2010 and Spring graduates of 2011 are kindly requested to open their SIS and click on the Graduation menu and fill in the on-line request form for participation. Deadline Friday, July 1, 2011.

  2. Graduation Fee
    The sum of 325.000L.L. (75.000L.L. Refundable)

    The payment includes: Graduation fee Rental fee of Cap & Gown
    2 – hour DVD of the Ceremony and two photos
    And 75.000L.L. Refundable fee upon returning the Cap & Gown.
    Date: Friday, June 24, 2011 for Summer & Fall 2010 graduates
      Friday, July 1, 2011 for Spring 2011 graduates
    Place: Business Office Time: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
     

  3. All graduates should fill in the “Almost Alumni” forms at the Alumni Affairs Office before receiving their invitation cards to the Commencement Ceremony.

  4. Cap and Gown
    Dates of reservation for Cap & Gown: Friday, June 24, 2011 for Summer & Fall 2010 graduates
      Friday, July 1, 2011 for Spring 2011 graduates
      Time 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
      Place : Student Affairs Office-Student Facilities Office-SA 113
       

    Dates for Returning Cap & Gown: Thursday, July 14 & Friday, July 15, 2011
      Time: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
      Place: Student Affairs Office-Student Facilities Office - SA 113
      After this date there will be a penalty of 37.500L.L. ( $ 25 )

  5. Four Invitation Cards to the Commencement Ceremony are obtained from the Student Affairs Office - Student Life Office - SA 152 after securing your cap & gown.
    Dates: Friday, June 24, 2011 for Summer & Fall 2010 graduates
      Friday, July 1, 2011 for Spring 2011 graduates
    Time: 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

  6. Rehearsal for the Commencement Ceremony will be held at NDU Main Campus on the following dates:
    Tuesday, July 5, 2011: Rehearsal for students at 7:00p.m.
    Thursday, July 7, 2011: Final rehearsal for students at 7:00p.m.
    Attendance for the rehearsal is obligatory.
    Thursday, July 7, 2011 Pinning Ceremony during rehearsal (Alumni Affairs Office)

  7. The graduation party, organized by the Alumni Affairs Office, will take place on Friday, July 8, 2011 Time: 10:30 p.m.
    The place will be announced on a later date.

    Invitation cards are obtained from the Alumni Affairs Office.
    For extra cards (to be announced), the payment will be done at the Business Office.

    Table reservation will be done at Alumni Affairs Office.
    Date: Tuesday, June 24, 2011 for Summer & Fall 2010 graduates from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
      Friday, July 1, 2011 for Spring 2011 graduates from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
      Tuesday, July 5&Thursday, July 7, 2011 for All graduates from 4:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

  8. Graduating students may get the 2-hour Commencement Ceremony DVD and the two photos, as of October 3rd, 2011 from NDU Radio/TV and Photo Studio. Students have to present their ID card and the receipt of payment.

  9. To get the Diploma:
    1. Financial clearance from the Business Office should be submitted to the Registrar’s Office.
    2. Mailbox Key should be returned to the Mail Box Office.

    10. The dates to get the diploma will be announced on NDU website.
