Bachelor’s degree candidates wear the tassel on the right side of the cap. After the conferring of degrees, they will be instructed to move the tassel to the left side, to indicate their new status as graduates. Master’s degree candidates wear the tassel on the left side of the cap from the beginning of the Commencement.
