Dear Prospective Graduates,

Life is made up of moments. During my 27 years as the Registrar at NDU, I have witnessed that Commencement presents a special time for all NDU graduates. It is a time to look backward with pride to reflect on past endeavors and to look forward with pride. You will be hearing from the Commencement guest speaker about the unlimited opportunities that you will have before you. I do not want to talk to you about your professional path. It is no secret that NDU graduates have long been making their mark, everywhere from Beirut, to the Gulf and everywhere across the Globe, in nearly every field of work. Rather, I want to encourage you to work on your personal development as human beings. For in the end, what determines a person’s success is not only his professional abilities as it is his character. A wise man once said, “Your success is not measured by your position only, it is measured also by the number of people you’ve helped to become successful.”
