Dear Students,

Class of 2009; for most of you this is your first Commencement at NDU and it is also mine. I urge you to make the most of this moment.

I will be standing on the Commencement podium hearing your cheer and will long remember this special class of graduates. Remember that NDU will always be home away from home.

I read that over 9,000 students have passed this place and are representing NDU well in their profession. It is now your turn. The challenge before every one of you is to do what you do well and to the best of your ability. Your family, your NDU education and your values have prepared you for that. There is only one direction and that’s forward. Seize the opportunity!

God bless you with his abiding love and protect you with the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
