Tuition Settlement Policy
Spring Semester 2010 |
|
To be eligible for Spring Registration, students shall make the assigned down payment at Bank of Beirut or Byblos Bank or through e-payment and shall also settle old accounts, if any.
I. Down Payment for the Spring Semester 2010
1. Undergraduate Full-Time Students
- The Down Payment for a full-time student wishing to enroll for the Spring Semester 2010 is LL 2,000,000. This Down Payment should be paid either in cash or in a certified check.
- The Deadline for paying this down payment at any Branch of Byblos Bank or Bank of Beirut is February 8, 2010. The student should carry his/her University ID to the bank between January 29 - February 8, 2010.
- Upon paying the down payment of LL 2,000,000 the student should proceed for registration as scheduled by the Registrar’s Office.
- Failure to make the specified down payment by February 8, 2010 will result in denial of registration. However, if the down payment is made after February 8, 2010, and prior to the beginning of the Spring semester, the student will be subject for a fine of LL 100,000 in addition to the down payment of LL 2,000,000 before he/she can register.
2. Undergraduate Part Time Students
- The Down Payment for a part-time student wishing to enroll for the Spring Semester 2010 is LL 960,000. This Down Payment should be paid either in cash or in a certified check.
- The Deadline for paying this down payment at any Branch of Byblos Bank or Bank of Beirut is February 8, 2010. The student should carry his/her University ID to the bank between January 29 - February 8, 2010.
- Upon paying the down payment of LL 960,000 the student should proceed for registration as scheduled by the Registrar’s Office.
- Failure to make the specified down payment by February 8, 2010 will result in denial of registration. However, if the down payment is made after February 8, 2010, and prior to the beginning of the Spring semester, the student will be subject for a fine of LL 50,000 in addition to the down payment of LL 960,000 before he/she can register.
3. Graduate Students
- The Down payment for a graduate student wishing to enroll for the Spring Semester 2010 is LL 850,000. This Down Payment should be paid either in cash or in a certified check.
- The Deadline for paying this down payment at any Branch of Byblos Bank or Bank of Beirut is February 8, 2010. The student should carry his/her University ID to the bank between January 29 - February 8, 2010.
- Upon paying the down payment of LL 850,000 the student should proceed for registration as scheduled by the Registrar’s Office.
- Failure to make the specified down payment by February 8, 2010 will result in denial of registration. However, if the down payment is made after February 8, 2010, and prior to the beginning of the spring semester, the student will be subject for a fine of LL 50,000 in addition to the down payment of LL 850,000 before he/she can register.
4. Students with scholarships, Financial Aids Or Sibling Grant
- Students receiving 75% or 100% scholarships shall not go to the Bank for the down payment but shall immediately proceed to their advisors for registration.
- Students who have applied for Financial Aid, Scholarships or Sibling Grant have to settle a down payment of LL 1,500,000 instead of LL 2,000,000. In case the application is accepted by the Financial Aid committee, amount of the assigned deduction will be discounted from the remaining tuition fees.
II. Installment Schedule for the Spring Semester 2010
A student should check his/her detailed Statement of Fees from the student information system (SIS) and then make the following payment at any Branch of Bank of Beirut or Byblos Bank as shown in the schedule below:
(a) March 30- April 9, 2010 for the 1st installment.
(b) April 30- May 5, 2010 for the 2nd installment.
(c) May 28- June 4, 2010 for the 3rd installment.
Failure to abide by the deadlines set for the settlement of the three installments will result in the following:
- A fine of LL 25,000 for every delayed installment to be added to the due sum.
- Denial of Transcripts of records.
In addition, failure to settle the account prior to Registration time for the next semester will result in:
- Denial of Grades.
- Denial of Transcripts.
- Denial of future registration.
