DOCTOR OF EDUCATION - Ed.D. PROGRAM
ADMISSION TO THE PROGRAM
 

In order to be eligible to apply to the program, candidates should hold an M.A. in Education.  Candidates who hold an M.A. in another major will be considered if they hold a Teaching Diploma, or have experience in the field of teaching, school administration, or a related field.  Additional pre-requisites will be required of candidates whose M.A. is not in Education.

Documents Required for the Application Process:

  1. Application Form and Application Fee ($125)

  2. References
    Three letters with signatures are required
    Must be received in a sealed envelope with writer’s signature across seal

  3. Official Transcripts
    Must be received in a sealed envelope
    Transcripts in a foreign language must include certified English translation

  4. Professional Goal Statement
    - Approximately 500 words, double-spaced
    - Include name and birthday on each page
    - Statement should provide insight into applicant’s professional interests: 
    What experiences influenced your decision to apply to SLU and to the
    Doctor of Education program?  What are your career plans once you
    Complete this degree?

  5. Résumé
    Academic, professional and volunteer information

  6. Graduate Record Exams Test Scores (GRE)
    Students are required to turn in their GRE scores before they begin their pre-requisite classes.

  7. Evidence of a recognized secondary school certificate

  8. A copy of B.A. /B.S., M.A. /M.S. degree certified by the ministry of Higher Education.

  9. A photocopy of identity card or passport.

  10. Two recent photographs

Upon completion of the file, please submit to the Admissions’ Office – NDU Main Campus
