NDU offers a program in Physical Education and Sport designed to meet the needs of those who plan on pursuing careers as teachers, coaches, or trainers.

The B.A. in Physical Education and Sport will:

  • Provide students with high quality education.
  • Increase students’ theoretical knowledge.
  • Develop students’ practical skills in various sports activities, including sports required in international baccalaureate programs.
  • Instill a commitment to health and fitness.
  • Prepare students to practice their skills and compete in the job market.

General Education Requirements: 30 credits

Major Requirements: 33 credits


Foundations of Physical Education, Physical Therapy and Athletic Injuries, Motor Development and Motor Learning, Anatomical Kineseology, Athletic Fitness Training, Physiology of Exercise, Theory of Fitness Coaching, Coaching, Biomechanics, Adapted Physical Fitness

Major Electives: 32 credits


Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Tennis, Badminton, Table Tennis, Weight Lifting, Dancing, Swimming, Track and Field, Combat Sports, Gymnastics, Winter Sports, Cardio Fitness and Toning, Pilates, Yoga

Free Electives: 4 credits


Students majoring in PES can also complete a Teaching Diploma (21 credits).
