
Elie Al-Hindy is an NDU graduate. He earned his BBA in International Affairs and Diplomacy in 1998 and his BA in Political and Administrative Sciences from the Lebanese University in 2000. In 2001 he earned both his proficiency in Italian Language and his MBA in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the NDU. His MBA thesis was on “The Holy See Diplomacy in Lebanon: Challenges and Endurance
Between 2002 and 2004, he worked as a Researcher and a Project officer for BUNIAN, a project on “Good Governance and Participation in Public Issues” in Lebanon and the Arab countries. BUNIAN was funded by the European Union and implemented in Lebanon by the International Management and Training Institute (a division of the YMCA) and Fredrich Nauman Foundation.
He joined Notre Dame University as a full time faculty member in the FPSPAD in the fall semester of 2009.
Current and future research interests of Dr. Al Hindy include: Minorities, Conosociational Democracy, Lebanese & Middle Eastern Studies, Electoral Engineering, Human Rights, Youth Participation, Religion and Politics, and Peace Education.
