Heba Tannous is interested in the identity, value, and dynamics of information systems in the Middle Eastern region. She believes that the Middle Eastern culture inherits symbolic capabilities for the advancement of organisational knowledge. Heba continues to work on a unique system icon designed categorically to reflect the impacting process of globalisation on the system state of Lebanon. The creation of this icon encapsulates the existence of Lebanese people and as a consequence they will understand their past, present, and future. Furthermore, she teaches primarily in the domains of systems analysis and design, business information systems and e-Business.
