Bashir Maroun received his B.S degree in computer science from Balamand University in 1998 and his M.S. degree from Notre Dame University (NDU) in 2001. His master thesis investigates the Hyperlink Induced Topic Search (HITS) algorithm, provides variations to its input parameters and attempts to combine link-based with text-based analysis in order to create more accurate search methods. He has been a member of the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences since 2001. His interests lie in computer programming, data structures and internet technologies.
