Ziad Fahed has a Doctorate in Theology. He is Assistant Professor at Notre Dame University-Louaize, Lebanon. His main research interests are religions and politics, Inter- religious dialogue and pluralism, the role of the Church during the war in Lebanon, the theology of the mission, and the contribution of the Church in building the Lebanese political system. As a Fulbright scholar he focused on the ‘Religious Pluralism in the US in 2006 in the University of Santa Barbara California. In 2008 he has been awarded a second Fulbright and he focused on Interreligious Dialogue in Temple University, Philadelphia and Auburn Theological Seminarym, New York. At the present, he is studying the impact of monotheistic religions on the Lebanese society, as well as the challenges they pose to the coexistence among different Lebanese religious communities.

As Assistant Director in the office of NDU Student Affairs since 2001, one of the many tasks that Dr. Fahed has is to offer special assistance to needy students. Currently he is managing an awareness campaign to help students overcome difficulties they might face. His expertise as Counselor and Advisor during more than 8 years for senior high school students in France helped him to provide proper handling of such situations.

He is member of the American Academy of Religion (AAR) and the International Association of Sociology of Religion (ISA) and the International Society for the Sociology of Religion (ISSR) and of the Justice and Charity Movement whose main mission is to study the Social doctrine of the Church in the Middle East and several NGOs working on sectarianism.
