Maria Ghosn-Chelala has a multidisciplinary academic background holding Bachelor and Master degrees in Computer Science from Notre Dame University–Louaize, a Doctorate in Education from Saint Louis University, Missouri, USA, and various music certificates from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, UK. She believes in the value of academic versatility and interdisciplinary endeavors for advancing research and student learning.

Her doctoral research focused on collaborative instructional approaches facilitated by computer networking and blended learning. She is currently continuing her research in this area and applying herself as part of committees to advance the adoption of such strategies.

As a uniquely adaptable professional, her experience in higher education includes teaching undergraduate and test-prep courses in both the humanities and the sciences. She has also worked with the Lebanese Ministry of Education as an auditor for the licensing of all university branches in Lebanon.

Maria believes in actively taking every opportunity to nurture her students as both whole persons and vocational professionals in accordance with their needs and the needs of the community.
