
Doumit A. Salameh is an associate professor at the Faculty of Humanities. He teaches philosophy and religion. Through his teaching, his main concerns are providing students with state of the art knowledge about the assigned topics, and developing in each one of his students a critical mind, preparing them for a genuine leadership role in the world at large. His research interests focus on violence and religion, multiculturalism and cultural specifity, faith and reason, religion and science, God and secularism. As of late, he has a growing interest in the Syriac language and culture.
