Amal Yazigy lectures mainly in Applied Linguistics, Linguistics, and the field of Education. Currently, her main area of interest is teacher training where she presents courses, modules, seminars and workshops on a variety of specific topics. She has shared a lot of her research interests with school administrators, coordinators, and teachers through modules given at Notre Dame University in the past few years. Topics include curriculum development and alignment, constructive classroom teaching methods, subjective testing, giftedness in the classrooms, and organizing assignments. Another area of research interest remains in Psycholinguistics where she combines her initial degree in Psychology with Linguistics which addresses a rich section of the Lebanese school setting. She is also involved in supervising MA theses in Applied Linguistics. Different topics tackle concerns, innovations, and implications into the educational system and school curricula in Lebanon.
