
Dr. Marwan Bou Sanayeh earned his Bachelor in Electrical Engineering at Notre Dame University in Lebanon in 2001 and his Master of Science in Communications Technology at the University of Ulm in Germany in 2005. Afterwards, he completed his Doctorate studies at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, in collaboration with the R&D center of the company OSRAM Opto Semiconductors GmbH, the largest optoelectronic devices manufacturer in Europe. Being involved with both university and industry, Dr. Bou Sanayeh had the opportunity to work in European projects, such as Brighter.EU, where his research involved advancements in high-power lasers for photodynamic therapy. Dr. Bou Sanayeh research area of interest is in solid-state lasers, including vertical cavity surface emitting lasers and high-power lasers, for applications such as fiber optic communications, laser displays, and biomedical engineering.
