Jacques Harb has more than 10 years experience in graduate and undergraduate teaching and research. His area of research covers water and wastewater engineering, earthquakes engineering and soil investigation. He has experience in industry and worked with GeoLogic Associates in Diamond Bar, California, USA as Project GeoEnvironmental / Earthquake Engineer. Dr. Harb was also a consultant from 1997 to 2001 on several undertaking related to project management, site investigator for Geo-Environmental damage assessment, environmental impact evaluation, laboratory analysis, 3-D slope stability evaluation of side slopes with geosynthetic liner systems, design of bottom and cover geosynthetic liner and leachate collection and recovery systems (LCRS), dynamic response of municipal solid waste landfills (MSWL), seismic hazard evaluation of sites, structural geology assessment of sites, review of liner construction specifications, QCQA, ground water modelling and contaminant transport, statistical analysis of monitoring wells contaminants, daily cover site assessment, settlement analysis for closure plan, and hydrogeologic assessment of MSWL.
