Dr. Francis Francis is currently a full time member of the mechanical engineering department in Notre Dame University, Louaize, Lebanon. He was graduated, received his PhD, from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.
His areas of teaching are: Dynamics of bodies and systems, Science of Materials, Engineering Graphics, Manufacturing Processes and Product Design, Mechatronics, Engineering Instrumentations, Joining processes: Welding, soldering and Brazing. He is supervising many senior research projects concerned with manufacturing and product design, welding approaches etc.
In his research, Dr Francis is investigating Design for Environment at the functional level of product design where the methodology of Quality Function Deployment, Customer requirements, Design for Environment aspects and sustainability issues are taken into consideration at the first stage of product life cycle. Presently, Dr Francis is expanding his research to focus on “socially conscious E-Learning process” and E – Learning obstacles in the Third World”.
Dr. Francis has worked as a Manufacturing Management Specialist at the Advanced Manufacturing Center at the Australian Technology Park, Sydney, Australia. Also, Dr. Francis was the Research and Production Manager of the Australasian Production and Inventory Control Society Quarterly Journal of Enterprise Resource Management, Sydney, Australia.

Ph.D. in Engineering, Mechanical engineering, University of New South Wales, Australia. 2003.
M.E. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Technology, Australia, 1997.
B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Rostov on Don, Russia. 1987.
