
Nancy Kanbar is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Notre Dame University, Lebanon. She received a Master degree in Agricultural Economics and Development from the American University of Beirut (1999) and a DES in Education from the Faculty of Education of the Lebanese University (2001). She is a member of the Phi Beta Delta international scholars’ honorary society. Her research focuses on environmental economic valuation, sustainability issues, public policy analysis for environmental management and international development.
Before joining NDU, Dr. Kanbar worked at the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington D.C where she contributed to the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (MEA). She has fulfilled consulting assignments sponsored by the World Bank. Also, she was an Assistant Professor at George Mason University. She has also taught as a part-time faculty member at the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanese American University (Byblos campus), University Saint Esprit Kaslik, Sagesse University and Haigazian University.
