Mrs. Karen Khoury is a Lecturer at the FAAD, and an Architect with a Masters degree in Business Administration and International Business. She is continuing her research on “The Role of Communication in Architecture Practice” as a doctorate candidate in project management. The learning diversity that Mrs. Khoury chose to get hold of opens a variety of teaching dimensions, which makes her able to teach design, planning, cost control, as well as construction courses.

Architecture in its current fragmentation of practice exposes the architect to be involved in each phase of the process, which makes the person knows little of every profession in order to achieve the client’s demands, in addition to the social and environmental ones.

For this reason, Mrs. Khoury stresses on the importance of teaching the student how to implement the designed project and be part of its construction process.
