Mission

The Minor in Food Safety and Quality Management provides prospective students with the knowledge and skills needed to understand food hazard and their potential risks, their sources, risk analysis and management processes and strategies used to assure the quality and safety of food products. The Minor in Food Safety and Quality Management is generally open to students majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Nursing or Medical Lab Technology, Nutrition and Hotel Management.

Admission Requirements

Graduation Requirements

“D” is the passing grade for each course, and the minor should be completed with an overall GPA of at least 2.0/4.0. 
To satisfy the requirements of a Minor in Nutrition, a student must complete the following courses:
