Australian researcher of Lebanese descent calls upon LERC

Australian-born Lebanese student and researcher Mr. Elias Hanna paid a lightning visit to the Lebanese Emigration and Research Center in what has been a busy holiday period for him. Mr. Hanna had previously met Ms. Guita Hourani during at the Maronite Youth Forum in Australia in July of 2008.

Ms. Hourani discussed with Mr. Hanna the possibility of his collecting materials for LERC as well as his efforts in promoting LERC in Melbourne, Australia. Mr. Hanna also stated his interest in associating with LERC in the future.

Mr. Hanna was then given an introduction to LERC’s electronic archives and database, by LERC’s indexer Ms. Liliane Haddad. Mr. Hanna was clearly impressed with the range of materials collected by LERC and congratulated the Center on its vision and the importance of its work.
